Phoenix Gesso Blanco is a primer designed to prepare canvases, heavy papers, wood, cardboard, MDF and other porous supports before painting. Applying it helps seal the surface, improve paint adhesion and create a more even base to work on.
The white version adds luminosity to the support and helps enhance the vividness of the colours applied over it. It is especially advisable when working with light palettes, vibrant colours, glazes or translucent layers, as it provides a neutral base that does not alter chromatic perception.
It can be applied with a brush, roller or painting knife, in one or several layers according to the desired level of absorption and finish. Once dry, the support is ready for work with acrylic paint, oil, gouache and mixed media.
