Phoenix Wood Wedges make it possible to adjust the canvas tension on stretchers prepared for this system. They are inserted into the corner joints and allow them to be opened slightly to keep the fabric correctly stretched.
They are useful both during the initial assembly and for making small readjustments later, when the canvas loses some of its tension. Their use helps keep a firmer, more even surface without needing to remove the fabric.
