Stretched canvas with fine-grain cotton canvas

The Professional Cotton stretched canvas from Phoenix is made with 100 % cotton canvas and fine grain, offering a smooth, even surface for detail work, portrait and precision techniques. Its weight of 280 g/m² provides a suitable balance of flexibility, resistance and stability in artistic work.

The surface incorporates Phoenix triple universal priming, acid-free, which promotes good colour adhesion, controlled absorption and balanced luminosity. The fine grain allows greater control of the stroke and makes soft gradients, precise details and defined finishes easier in oil, acrylic, gouache and mixed media.

Mounted on a pine wood stretcher, with a curved profile and suspended canvas, it offers a firm, stable base for painting without direct contact with the structure. Depending on the format, it is available in 20 × 37 mm or 20 × 58 mm profiles, and may include internal crossbars or crosses to reinforce stability. It includes wooden wedges to readjust canvas tension with use and over time.
