Phoenix Bars Master bars are designed to build professional stretchers that require an especially firm, resistant and stable structure. Their reinforced 27 × 54 mm profile provides a robust base for demanding supports and large-format works.
The reinforced mitre corner joint makes precise assembly easier and helps keep the stretcher correctly squared. The wooden wedges make it possible to adjust the tension during assembly and make small readjustments over time, helping to keep the canvas correctly stretched.
Lengths up to 65 cm are used without a crossbar. Bars from 70 to 146 cm are prepared to take one Master crossbar and lengths from 150 to 200 cm are prepared to take two. This configuration makes it possible to adapt the inner reinforcement to the dimensions of the stretcher and create resistant, balanced and well-squared structures.
