Phoenix Bars Europa 5 offer a practical, versatile solution for building custom stretcher frames. Their 20 × 50 mm profile is suitable for the everyday work of artists, studios and workshops that prepare their own supports.
The traditional assembly system lets you build the structure and adjust canvas tension with wooden wedges. These make small readjustments easier during stretching and later, when it is necessary to keep the canvas correctly tensioned.
Lengths of up to 65 cm are used without a crossbar. From 70 to 116 cm, the bars are prepared to incorporate one Europa 5 crossbar. At 120 cm two different configurations are offered: one prepared for one crossbar and another for two. Lengths from 130 to 150 cm are prepared to incorporate two crossbars. In this way, the inner reinforcement can be adapted to the selected size and configuration.
