Francisco José Girón Polo, or, as he likes to be called artistically, Dresu, is a artistA plastic from Manchego born in Ciudad Real, specifically in the town of Pedro Muñoz, Spain.

At 31 years old, Dresu is a consolidated and recognized painter, based on national and international awards in various competitions. He stands out in his early days, thanks to his love for urban art, where he developed through mural expression and graffiti, just like our dear friend. Alvaro Rodrigo, Artista from the Station last fall 2022.

I want my toxic relationship with painting to continue

Dresu tells us that his work is the result of the inspiration generated by the experiences lived during his travels, a great source of creativity for many artistace. As well as his childhood and youth experiences among tools and construction objects in his father's workshop. Our painter, muralist and graphic designer defines himself as a person who is very much in contact with rural society and involved in its struggle. All of this is conveyed in his expressionist landscapes, practically untouched by technology and modern elements, full of cultivated lands and skies, to which he gives special importance in his work.

Francisco José explains that he does not rule out entering the world of sculpture. We are impatient to know the next works of him. However, as we have read in an interview at PAC, Contemporary Art platform, your relationship with art will become a little less toxic than it was before clay. We would love to know if the naturalness of working with clay, earth and water will affect the level of toxicity in your relationship with art...
